Donating usable items to organizations keeps them out of the landfill while fulfilling the needs of others. If you have items that are usable, please call these organizations for details. Three groups listed in the chart offered below (Disabled American Veterans, Glendale Adventist Medical Center Thrift Shop and the Salvation Army) offer a collection service for some items.
Many of the items that the City picks up as bulky items (furniture, mattresses, appliances) can be donated to these charitable organizations. And don't forget to recycle packaging "peanuts" (Mail Boxes, Etc.) and to donate used books to the Glendale Public Library.
