Refuse Bin Rental |
|
The City of Glendale offers one, two or three-cubic yard refuse bins for rent on a permanent basis. The cost of bin rental is dependent upon the number and size of the bins and the number of times per week (1-6) that they are collected.
Refer to refuse rates for prices. There two different sets of rates: one for multiple dwelling units and horse accounts and one for places of business. There are also separate charges if the bin(s) need to be wheeled out to the curb for collection.
The following regulations must be followed for refuse bin rental:
- All refuse must be placed in the container.
- No refuse may be placed outside of the container.
- Container must be filled level full only.
- Lids must be kept closed (except those with chutes).
- Container must be kept in the designated area.
- Container must be placed on a hard level surface.
- Load uniformly; spread refuse out evenly.
- Wrap all garbage; crush all containers/boxes.
- Maintain access to container on service days.
The following unacceptable materials cannot be disposed of in the bin under any circumstances. They include, but are not limited to:
Any hazardous waste including paint, oil, chemicals, pesticides, and batteries
Sand
Roofing
Liquids
Plaster
Drywall
Dirt
Concrete
Bricks
Rocks
Stucco
Asphalt
And any other construction-type debris.
