Refuse/Trash and Recycling Services
MANDATORY COMMERCIAL RECYCLING
As a partner in Statewide efforts to achieve "Zero Waste" goals, the City of Glendale is dedicated to minimizing the environmental impact of refuse and recyclables collection. In response to new State legislation for Mandatory Commercial Recycling, the Glendale Recycling Center is expected to be able to process mixed waste for recycling by 2015. Through source-separation in its residential and commercial operations, bulky item and e-waste collection, backyard composting and other programs, the City continues to approach the AB 341 goal of 75% reduction in landfill waste disposal by the year 2020.
In addition to free Residential Bulky Item Collection,
the City of Glendale offers refuse and recycling services using two types of containers
for both residences and businesses. For information on these services, please click
