Glendale Police Explorers Program
The Glendale Police Explorer Program is a Volunteer program for young people between the ages of 14 and 21. The program allows the Explorers to learn the "in's and out's" of police work. Police "ridealongs", "flyalongs", explorer competitions and community events are some of the details the explorers get to be involved with. These events are exciting, fun and rewarding for the explorers.
A selection process is used to determine who is acceptable for the program. The process involves an initial application, an oral interview, a background check, satisfactory grades (Minimum 2.0 GPA) and citizenship. After being selected, a sixteen week long Explorer Academy begins, which is held on Saturdays. Upon successful completion of the academy you become a Glendale Police Explorer.
