Alleged Child Molester Arrested in Glendale
On Tuesday, October 2, 2012, the Glendale Police Department arrested Dale Kim, age 46, of Los Angeles. He is identified as a tennis coach who has allegedly molested one of his students. The student is 15 year old female of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has filed 10 counts of lewd acts on a child, 7 counts of oral copulation with a minor, and 4 counts of rape of a minor.
Glendale Police Department Detectives, through their investigation discovered that several of the acts occurred after tennis practice located at the Scholl Canyon Tennis Center in the city of Glendale. Kim rents courts from the Tennis Center to conduct private lessons. He is not affiliated with the Tennis Center or the City of Glendale. Further acts of intercourse were in a motel room in the Tujunga area of Los Angeles.
Dale Kim has been a tennis coach for over a decade. The Glendale Police Department is interested in identifying any other individuals who may have been victims or may have information to assist in the investigation and prosecution of Kim.
Kim’s bail is set at $875,000 he is due for arraignment October 3 in the Glendale Superior Court.
