CITY OF GLENDALE’S 2ND ANNUAL K-9s IN THE PARK FUNDRAISER AND LOW COST VACCINATION CLINIC EVENT TO HELP K-9 UNIT RAISE FUNDS
The City of Glendale City Clerk’s Office, Glendale Police Foundation, K-9 Unit, and Community Services & Parks is presenting a family-oriented, dog-friendly, fun-filled event with entertainment and activities for all ages on:
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2010
11:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. – FREE ADMISSION
VERDUGO PARK, 1621 CANADA BLVD
There will be Police K-9 demonstrations, music, raffles for prizes, food, bouncers, face painting, vendors, pet costume/talent contests, pet adoptions, information on various city services, and much more.
The City Clerk’s Office will provide dog/cat licensing services. Physical exams, de-worming, flea control, nail trimming and other services will be offered by Vet Care Vaccination Services, Inc. The vaccinations costs are as follows:
Dog Vaccines
Rabies $6.00
DHP+P $19.00
Corona $17.00
Bordetella $18.00
Cat Vaccines
Rabies $6.00
4-in-1 $20.00
FeLv $25.00
All dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in an enclosed container.
*Identification Micro-chips $40.00
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Glendale Police Department K-9 Unit. Re-established in 2005, the K-9 Unit has four canines (Sam, Yudy, Marlin and Quwai) that are trained in explosive and narcotics detection, suspect and missing persons tracking, and other essential public safety duties. Continuation of the program is reliant on public support and donations from civic-minded residents and sponsors.
