DUI TASK FORCE CONTINUES EDUCATION WHILE DUI ARRESTS CONTINUE TO CLIMB
WHAT: The Los Angeles County Avoid DUI Task Force kicked-off an aggressive and sustained three week public awareness, education and enforcement Summer Labor Day Holiday DUI campaign on Friday, August 21. The educational portion of the campaign includes the unveiling of the new 2008 FORD E-350 ambulance from Priority One Medical Transport showing their partnership with MADD. Priority One has “wrapped” their new ambulance with a graphic Drunk Driving crash scene including the strewn beer cans and flipped over vehicle. This ambulance will be on display at a Glendora checkpoint for those wishing to view the life-like artwork.
WHEN: Friday, August 28, 2009, 8:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
WHERE: 600 Block of Lone Hill Ave. and Route 66 in the City of Glendora
WHO: “Avoid the 100 DUI Campaign - Los Angeles County” which includes officers and deputies from city police departments, Sheriff’s Department, L.A.P.D., California Highway Patrol, Pomona Probation, Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), School and University Police and Mother’s Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
