Graffiti Removal

Report Graffiti button

By City Council policy, Glendale will be graffiti-free. This policy has been successful in nearly eliminating graffiti. Neighborhood Services is responsible for implementing that policy through the following strategy:

  • When offered for sale, graffiti implements, such a spray paint, wide-tip markers, paint sticks and glass etchers are required to be kept behind a locked cabinet.
  • City staff will remove graffiti from public property immediately when it is reported.
  • City staff will routinely survey public property to note and remove graffiti that is not reported by residents.
  • The City will aggressively investigate, apprehend and prosecute any person involved in graffiti vandalism.
  • Police Department and Neighborhood Services personnel will share information on the identity of taggers and graffiti vandals.
  • Property owners are required to keep their property free from graffiti. Graffiti must be removed immediately. Property owners may arrange for City staff to remove graffiti from private property for a small fee to cover the material cost of the removal. Our suggested donations are as follows:

1) Up to 400 square feet:
$50
2) 401 - 800 square feet:
$75
3) 801 - 1200 square feet:
$150
4) 1201 square feet - 1500 square feet:
$200
5) One year contract*:
$250
