TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP NO. GLN 1624

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The proposed project involves a tentative parcel map to subdivide one residentially zoned vacant/undeveloped parcel into two parcels for the purpose of building two new single-family residences on parcel A and parcel B. Parcel A is 171,935 square feet and Parcel B is 190,639 square feet. Construction of new single-family residences on Parcel A and Parcel B will only proceed if the Parcel Map application is approved by the Planning Commission. The Design Review Board will review and approve the design of the new residences.

Proposed Negative Declaration Comment Period May 27, 2010 to June 15, 2010.

arrow NOTICE OF PREPARATION OF A DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The proposed project includes the replacement of an existing natural turf field with a new artificial turf sports field lighting on the campus of Columbus Elementary School. This is a joint use project between the City of Glendale Community Services and Parks Department and the Glendale Unified School District (GUSD).

Any information pertinent to the potential environmental effects of this project should be directed to the Community Planning Department in order to be included in the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR). Copies of the application are available for review at the Community Planning Department office located at the address shown above.

Due to the time limits mandated by state law, your response must be sent at the earliest possible date but not later than 30 days after publication of this notice.

Please send your response to Erik Krause at the address shown above and provide the name of a contact person in your agency where applicable.

A Scoping Meeting to receive comments on the scope of the proposed Columbus Elementary School Joint Use Soccer Field Project EIR will be held on Wednesday May 26, 2010 at 6:30 PM in the cafeteria of the Columbus Elementary School located at 425 West Milford Street, Glendale, California 91203.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
To construct an unmanned wireless telecommunication facility consisting of twelve (12) panel antennas mounted atop a new 35-foot high monopole and four (4) equipment cabinets with the ability to add two (2) additional cabinets.

Proposed Negative Declaration Comment Period April 29, 2010 to May 18, 2010.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT A NEGATIVE DECLARATION
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION FORM/INITIAL STUDY CASE NO. PEIF 2010-005

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The construction of a 14,670 square foot building and 60 parking spaces on an approximately 1.1 acre site. The site is currently a city-owned parking lot and previously contained a building, now demolished, used for an automobile dealership. The proposed building will contain a Trader Joe's supermarket and is located on the western portion of the site. The parking lot will be located in the eastern portion of the site. Access to the parking lot will be from Honolulu Avenue and the driveway will align with Orangedale Avenue. The applicant is requesting a variance to allow a projecting sign, which is larger in size and thicker in dimension than the sign regulations allow, and which would be indirectly illuminated rather than directly illuminated as required, and a conditional use permit to allow the sales of alcoholic beverages at the market. The project also will need approval from the Design Review Board.

Proposed Negative Declaration Comment Period April 26, 2010 to May 16, 2010.

Use Variance application to allow a new emergency shelter within an existing commercial/industrial building located in the IMU-R (Industrial/Commercial-Residential Mixed Use) Zone, where such use is not permitted by the Zoning Code.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Application for a Variance to allow the construction and installation of a new, unmanned wireless telecommunication facility located on an approximately 9,540 square-foot vacant lot. The proposed equipment includes a 45-foot high monopole, six panel antennas mounted on the pole, six radio cabinets mounted on a concrete pad, and a back-up battery unit. The equipment will be located in a new approximately 440 square-foot, 8-foot high concrete masonry unit (CMU) enclosure.

Proposed Negative Declaration Comment Period January 14, 2010 - February 2, 2010.
