Litter-Not the Trash Bustin’ Burro, was born in the Verdugo Mountains of Glendale, CA in 1967. Raised by his elders to be kind toward the environment, Litter-Not picked up trash along the 210 freeway every morning on his way to school. Litter-Not learned the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling at an early age. In his spare time, Litter-Not and his friends would recycle aluminum cans and newspapers. They would then take the proceeds and plant flowers and trees throughout the community.
In the spring of 2002, Litter-Not joined forces with the Committee for a Clean & Beautiful Glendale. Dedicated to preserving Glendale clean and beautiful, Litter-Not urges everyone to keep the Verdugos green and Glendale clean because, "Every litter bit hurts!"
Charles Alfred Taliaferro (1905-1969) is known as the first artist of the Donald Duck newspaper comics, which he drew for over 30 years.
Long considered as one of the best Disney cartoonists, Taliaferro created many characters, including Donald’s nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, Grandma Duck and Glendale’s own pride and joy, "Litter-Not the Trash Bustin’ Buddy."
