Youth Programs


FAMILY FUN NIGHTS
Bring your family to play board games, bingo, enjoy popcorn and more family fun. All ages welcome.

Fee: FREE/No registration required.
Dates: Held the last Wednesday of each month, September through June only.
Location: Pacific Community Center, 501 S. Pacific Avenue
Time: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

PARKS CREATING FUTURES (PCF) AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM
Parks Creating Futures is an educational and fun drop-in after-school program for children 6-12 years of age. Recreation Leaders at both park locations provide general supervision and recreation programming. Specialists offer unique and creative enrichment activities on a rotating basis in the areas of Sports & Games, Arts & Crafts, Discovery and Performing Arts. Your children will have a memorable time meeting new friends, learning new things, and more!

*Please note: A responsible adult/guardian must accompany all children under eight (8) years of age. This program is designed to provide supplemental activities for your child after school, and not to provide child care. In case of inclement weather, sites may be closed.

Fee: FREE
Dates: Year Round
Location: Maple Park, 820 E. Maple St.
Palmer Park, 610 E. Palmer Ave.
Times: 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
(Hours expanded during Summer, Winter & Spring Breaks)

PARK N' PLAY MOBILE RECREATION PROGRAM
Park N' Play is a "fun on wheels" vehicle that travels to Glendale neighborhoods where parks are not readily accessible. Staff provides a variety of fun, safe and supervised recreation activities for children of all ages. Activities offered may include hockey, soccer, foursquare, games, arts and crafts, and a variety of contests including relays, jump rope, football throws, and much more. All children under the age of eight (8) must be accompanied by an adult.

Fee: FREE
Dates & Times: 2:45 p.m. - 4:45 p.m., Monday - Friday
Ages: Youth 6 - 15 years of age

TOT TIME
Tot Time is a drop-in program for preschoolers (ages 5 and under) and their parents. The program offers a great opportunity to spend quality time with your child and to interact socially with new friends. The center provides the play equipment while parents provide the supervision.

Fee: FREE - No registration required
Dates: Every Tuesday & Thursday (year round)
Location: Pacific Community Center, 501 S. Pacific Avenue
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

SPECIAL NEEDS ACCOMMODATIONS
The Community Services & Parks Department will provide any reasonable accommodation toward the inclusion of a participant. Please contact our Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator at (818) 548-3798 two weeks prior to the start of the program. Ample time is required to determine the needs of each request.
