KIDZ LOVE SOCCER
Learn the fundamentals of soccer through our non-competitive, age appropriate format. Shin Guards Required.

Ages: 2 - 12 years of age

YOUTH TENNIS CLASSES
Pick up a racket and learn how to play! Class will include stroke development, drills, and singles and doubles strategy. Bring Water and Tennis Racket.

Ages: 8 - 17 years of age

YOUTH VOLLEYBALL CLASS
Youth are invited to join the Youth Volleyball Class for a 45 minute warm-up with instruction in the fundamentals of volleyball, and then 45 minutes of game play.

Ages: 8-14 years, co-ed play
Dates & Times: Tuesday & Thursday, DATES VARY
Location: Crescenta Valley High School Gymnasium, Main Gym

BEGINNING SKATE CLASS
Skaters will be introduced to skate safety, safety equipment, falling correctly, basic maneuvering, riding ramps, dropping in and basic "tricks". All skaters must provide their own helmet, skateboard, elbow and knee pads. Dates and activity schedules may vary each season.

All participants are required to have a completed Release of Liability & Indemnity Agreement form.

Dates: Vary per season
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Sundays
Location: Verdugo Skate Park, 1621 Cañada Blvd. (south end).

DROP-BY SKATE CLASSES
Due to the popularity of classes, we are now offering regularly scheduled drop by skate classes. All skaters must provide their own helmet, skateboard, elbow and kneepads. A maximum of five participants per class will be accepted. Beginners will learn the proper stance and balance. Intermediates will learn kick turns, dropping in, and how to ollie. INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTION IS OFFERED AT A RATE OF $30 PER HOUR PER CHILD. All participants are required to have a completed Release of Liability & Indemnity Agreement form on file.

Dates: Beginners - Mondays & Wednesdays
Beginners/Intermediate - Thursdays
Location: Verdugo Skate Park, 1621 Canada Boulevard
Time: 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

ADULT OPEN PLAY VOLLEYBALL
Bump, Set, Spike! You don't have to have your own team to get into the fun! Open play volleyball is available to adults of all skill levels.

Dates: Mondays & Thursdays (session dates vary)
Locations: Hoover High School, 651 Glenwood Rd. (east gym)
Time: 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

ADULT OPEN PLAY BADMINTON
Join us for a fun, fast moving sport that will improve your reflexes and provide a great aerobic workout. Open play badminton is available to adults of all skill levels.

Time: 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

ADULT BASKETBALL LEAGUE
If you're interested in just playing on a team, we can put you on our "free agent" list for those teams that are always in need of new talent! Please note: There are additional fees per team per game for officials.

Dates: Games played on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights.
Locations: Various gyms throughout the City
Time: Varies per team per season.

ADULT SOCCER LEAGUE

ADULT SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL
We offer leagues for men, women and coed teams. If you're interested in just playing on a team, we can put you on our "free agent" list for those teams that are always in need of new talent! Softballs are provided.

MASTERS OPEN PLAY SOCCER
Join other adult soccer enthusiasts for casual pick-up soccer games at the Glendale Sports Complex, 2200 Fern Lane. This is a non-competitive, friendly program.

Days: Every Wednesday & Friday
Time: 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - MASTERS SOCCER PROGRAM
Our Sports Section is in need of volunteers to assist in the Masters Soccer Program. This open play program is designed for older adults (55+) and offers casual pick-up soccer games. Volunteers will assist with signing people in each meeting day and enforcing the rules of the game. If you are interested in this opportunity,

The Community Services & Parks Department will provide any reasonable accommodation toward the inclusion of a participant. Please contact our Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator at (818) 548-3798 two weeks prior to the start of the program. Ample time is required to determine the needs of each request.
