Melissa Treinkman


Melissa Treinkman is an avid performer and voice/piano teacher in the Los Angeles area. She is a current member of the LA Opera chorus and a soloist in LA Opera's Outreach Program, "Verdi Opera Tales".

A native of Chicago, Melissa has appeared in the chorus of two productions with the Los Angeles Opera during the 2011-2012 season. Most recently, Melissa sang the role of Tisbe in La Cenerentola with the Sarasota Opera. Also in 2010, Melissa was a Resident Artist with Utah Opera where she performed the role of Mercédès in Carmen and Suor Infermiera in Suor Angelica. Another recent highlight was her performance of Melousine in the American premiere of Lehar's operetta Cloclo with the Chicago Folks Operetta. Melissa has also been a Young Artist with Sarasota Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, Opera North, and Cedar Rapids Opera. Past roles include: Marcellina in The Marriage of Figaro, Praskowia in The Merry Widow, Peep-Bo in The Mikado, La Badessa in Suor Angelica, and Melissa in Princess Ida. Melissa has performed her one-woman show at over one hundred area retirement homes and libraries.
