The City Treasurer is responsible for the receipt and disbursement of all City funds, the management of the City's Investment Portfolio, and reporting investment activity to the City Council. The City Treasurer also acts as Trustee for various City Street Improvement Bonds.

The City Treasurer, in his most important role as Investment Manager of the City's funds, strives to maximize yield without compromising safety and liquidity.

The City of Glendale is beginning efforts to promote the upcoming Census. Staff members are seeking to speak with community groups, organizations, churches and schools to ensure that all Glendale residents are counted.
