| Amplified Sound Permits are required for events that will be using sound-amplifying equipment. Examples of such equipment include but are not limited to: DJ's, bands, stereo equipment, etc. The operation of sound-amplifying equipment is permitted between the hours of seven a.m. and ten p.m. each day except on Sundays and legal holidays. The operation of sound-amplifying equipment for noncommercial purposes on Sundays and legal holidays is permitted between the hours of seven a.m. and ten p.m. Operation of sound-amplifying equipment for commercial purposes is not permitted on Sundays or legal holidays. A complete description of the requirements and limitations for amplified sound may be reviewed in the
City Of Glendale Amplified Sound Ordinance.
When a citizen is planning an event using amplified sound equipment, an Amplified Sound Permit Application must be completed and filed with the City Clerk five days prior to the event date. The following information is required on the application:
| 1. | Name and address of both the owner and user of the sound-amplifying equipment; |
| 2. | The maximum sound-producing power of the equipment to be used, including wattage and volume (decibels) of sound which will be produced; |
| 3. | License and motor number if a sound truck is to be used; |
| 4. | A general description of the sound-amplifying equipment; |
| 5. | Whether use is commercial ($10.00 fee) or noncommercial (no charge).
