Facade Improvement Grant Program

The Department of Community Development and Housing currently offers two facade improvement grant programs, one in the Adams Square area and the other on Colorado Street. The Facade Improvement Grant Programs reinforce the vibrancy of the retail and commercial environment to promote retailers and attract shoppers.

The Adams Square Facade Improvement Grant Program provides assistance in the form of a grant, funded by the Community Development Block Grant Program, not to exceed $15,000 per storefront and the Colorado Facade Improvement Grant Program offers a grant not to exceed $10,000 per storefront, with a contribution from the property owner of $1,500 per storefront. To ensure high quality and a uniform level of improvements for all applicants, the City of Glendale will provide and pay for architectural services.
